Movie data and verification

FlickMesh uses movie titles, release years and cast credits to create daily puzzles. Each completed puzzle links to its movie records so you can check the answer against the source.

Sources and update policy

Wikidata is the primary source for movie identifiers and cast credits. Release years in the current movie pool were cross-checked against Wikipedia introductions. These are community-maintained sources and can contain missing or incorrect information.

What reaches the game

A movie connection is found when the imported cast lists for two films contain the same actor name. We check that each daily puzzle has a short path through the available films. That checks the puzzle is solvable in our data; it does not independently verify every cast credit.

Check an answer

Open a completed puzzle in the answer archive and follow the Wikidata link below each movie. Look for the shared actor in both cast lists. If a credit appears wrong, compare it with the film's on-screen credits or another reliable source. A spelling difference or incomplete cast list can also prevent a valid connection from appearing in the game.

Past puzzles keep their original answer path, so they remain useful references after the daily game changes.

Images and affiliation

FlickMesh does not scrape or republish movie posters or stills. It is not affiliated with any film studio, IMDb, TMDB or Wikidata.
